Liverpool confirms Van Dijk’s new contract and summer plan
Less than a week after confirming Mohamed Salah signed a new contract with Liverpool, the Reds now announced that superstar defender Virgil Van Dijk has signed a new deal until the summer of 2027.

There may be a large transfer distortion on the card.
The 33-year-old will be a free agent this summer and is watched by German giant Bayern Munich, but the Dutch has been committed to the Premier League, with his new contract reportedly making him earn £400,000 a week.
“I’m so happy, so proud. Obviously, there’s a lot of emotions and now my mind is talking about it. It’s a feeling of pride; it’s a feeling of joy. It’s incredible. It’s amazing that my journey so far in my career has been able to extend this club for another two years, and I’m so happy.
“It’s always Liverpool. The fact. It’s always in my mind, it’s always the plan, and it’s always Liverpool.
“No doubt this is my place with my family. I am Liverpool.
Liverpool Eye If Keller sets off, new backup goalkeeper
According to German media sports, Van Dijk attributes his future to the Reds, and Liverpool has signed with interest Moritz Nicolas from Borussia Mönchengladbach, who are eager to raise funds.
The report notes that Nicholas is interested in England, especially Liverpool. That’s because current frontline goalkeeper coach Fabian Otte has worked with Nicolas before, and he may move to Anfield to help strengthen their choice.
The Reds are planning to take action immediately, and the right offer could speed up the deal, as Mönchengladbach desperately needs cash to balance their books. Nicholas’ market value is only 5 million euros, or about £4 million.
The report added that the 27-year-old is looking for the last big contract in his career, but perhaps worryingly, Nicholas is statistically similar to Manchester United’s Onana. The couple had similar pass numbers and shared poor fine records, putting Manchester United’s “Guardians” on FBREF’s “Similar Player” tool.

Liverpool have allowed Giorgi Mamardashvili to arrive from Valencia in the summer, but that has not stopped them from looking for another goalkeeper as Caoimhín Kelleher is expected to leave while Vitezsslav Jaros is available for loan, opening the game for Veteran third option.
