2 ways to compress golf balls and hit more crispy iron lenses

2 ways to compress balls

If you want to compress the ball, two things have to happen during the swing. First, you have to tilt the forward axis.

“You stand out when the axial tilts forward,” Sprecher said. “And, when you apply less lofts to the ball, you compress it even more.”

Another way you can compress the ball by having one is down The angle of attack at the impact. This negative attack angle (i.e. hitting the ball) will help you get your first contact.

“So the combination of axial tilt and attack angle can really make you compress the ball more,” he said. “In fact, if you compress it better, you can actually swing slowly.”

A great way to rehearse this feeling is to sit in front of the mirror and do some exercises. But when you do, stop your own impact immediately and note the position of your hand related to the club’s head. You want to see the hand in front of the club head, which will tilt the front axle and negative attack angle.

Also, try grabbing a hit bag (or something like that) and do some swing. So you want to tilt the axially forward and make an impact with a bag in front of the club head. The good feeling of achieving this is working hard to spin your body and extend your arms completely at the bottom of the swing arc.

“If I let those two things happen, then I can get the attack angle and the forward axis tilt to compress the ball,” Sprecher said.

Once you have mastered these two things, you can compress the ball and hit the crispy shot with your iron.
