When was the last time TaylorMade introduced a new driver?
In January 2024, TaylorMade launched the Qi10 driver. This represents a higher moment of inertia, which means more forgiveness. Previous efforts to increase MOI had been around 8500, but this driver hit the 10,000 mark. So Qi10 – task (Q), i (inertia), 10 (10k).
What's in scope?
The Qi35 series may offer three new options. Interestingly, we've gone from 10 to 35, with more to be announced in the coming weeks, but we do know there will be standard Qi35 (9 and 10.5°), Qi35 Max drives, which will It is the most forgiving and suitable driver.
What is the TaylorMade Qi35 Driver?
It features the usual TaylorMade Speed Pocket, which allows the base of the strike zone to flex more efficiently on low strikes, and it features a carbon fiber face. There are only two loft options, but there is an adjustable hosel to increase loft, and there appear to be two interchangeable weights in the clubhead. There's a lot going on in the sole of the club, which we'll explain more when the club releases properly, but the front weight is now more centered compared to the Qi10.

What is the TaylorMade Qi35 Max Driver?
Nelly Korda has this one in the bag, making some statements a year later with statistics showing she'll be enjoying herself off the tee in 2024. Unable to move, again, there are two loft options. This is designed for players who have the ability to hit the face and still get plenty of help, as well as who are a good driver themselves, as Korda rarely misses the middle of the face.
What is the TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver?
There are two weights here in the front, one toward the forefoot and one toward the toe, and there's also a weight port in the back. So there's going to be more weight moving forward, which increases ball speed and reduces spin and launch angle, and you seem to be able to move the weight to provide more draw or slice bias. So, for a low-spin driver, forgiveness and stability should be higher than you think.
Why use carbon fiber?
TaylorMade uses carbon fiber in its drivers to optimize performance, specifically improving weight distribution, aerodynamics and overall club efficiency. This design philosophy is reflected in their recent product lines, such as the Stealth driver, which features advanced carbon fiber technology.
