Augusta, Ga. – There is nothing better for professional golfers than winning a master green jacket. Although the winner’s check is also excellent. Augusta National Golf Club’s 2025 Masters has a record wallet and winner share and pays $21 million to this year’s field, an increase of $1 million from last year.

The Masters champion received $4.2 million, up from the prize money won by Scottie Scheffler last year.

Rory McIlroy will be the first crack guy on that massive payday, leading the way on the 54-hole under 12. He leads Bryson DeChambeau two (under 10) ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, and they will end the game at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.

McIlroy’s Sunday win will also complete a professional grand slam, all four of the golf men’s majors – making him the sixth man in golf history, a feat that could be achieved. He will be on the list including Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

“I think I still have to remind myself that there is still a long way to go,” McIlroy said Saturday. “I know what happens on the last day here. I have a lot of experience. I’m here to talk about myself being the most complete version of me as a golfer, and you know, I just need to keep reminding myself and remind myself that no matter what situation or scenario I find myself in,” he said. [Sunday]I can handle it. ”

The top four all received seven figures on Sunday. In addition to the $4.2 million $4.2 million, the runner-up also received $2.268 billion, the third place received $1.428 billion and the fourth place received $10.08 million home.

Among other majors last year, Bryson DeChambeau won $4.3 million at the U.S. Open. Xander Schauffele won $3.33 million in the PGA Championship and also won $3.1 million in the open championship.

Last month, the Players Championship wallet was as high as $25 million (this is the third year). McIlroy won the $4.5 million winner check, the largest golf winner check (excluding the Tour champion with FedEx Cup bonus).

This year’s Masters also paid new wrinkles: Each professional who missed the cuts received $25,000 per person, an increase of $15,000 from last year.
