indeed. Of course, we are a bunch of rhymes. But this idea is a basic idea – players do well in certain courses – it will be an idea when you try to find a winner in this week’s PGA Championship. While at best, the track has a professional once a year for so many years, there are a few (such as Quail Hollow) that hold PGA Tour events each year to provide some work experience for players (and gamblers).
So who answers the email at Quail? Here are the top 10 on the track in the past 10 years when you want to make a choice, including the top 10 for the 2017 PGA:

win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. Those who win the PGA title will cause a large number of birdies, and Scottie Scheffler now hit the ball so close to the hole that it would be impossible for him not to be a birdie. His game started a year, but he figured it out and hit the confidence-filled quail hollow. This is dangerous for other areas (outside McIlroy of course).
Sleeper selection: Russell Henley, +6,000. There aren’t many golfers on Earth that are more stable this year than Russell Henley. The main focus of choosing Henry is his lack of distance in a course that will benefit heavy hitters, but he is very accurate this year and maybe he can overcome that. If he had a nice week, he could steal the championship.
Connor Federico
win: Ludvig Aberg, +1,600. The Swedish star once again played his own dispute in Augusta National. His putter was hot and the driver caught fire. Although he has no professional history in Quill, the 25-year-old’s talent cannot be ignored. Justin Thomas was only 24 when he entered the star in his first major victory in 2017. I hope Ludvig starts this week, starting this week, by lifting Wanamaker.
Sleeper selection: Max Homa, +8,000. In Quail Hollow, who won his first tour in 2019 Wells Fargo, he dominated the 2022 Presidents Cup, ending with four wins and losing no losses in his U.S. debut. The house is overcoming some of the recent struggles, but the Masters’ T12 ended proved that he could compete for the big title. I like his odds given all his success in Charlotte.
Jessica Marksbury
win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. I actually wished for the epic Scheffler-McIlroy Sunday Duel, but ended up voting for me to vote for the world number one. Having just had a huge victory in Texas and having a week off Scottie will be the guy who beats at Quail Hollow, and I believe it was the week he brought his main Mojo back on track.
Sleeper selection: Max Homa, +8,000. The man’s season has certainly been a tough season so far, but his highlight so far is the Master, who finished the T12. This gave me hope for his performance this week, winning the Wells Fargo title in 2019 in his past performance courses, ending T8 in the past two years. If there is any track that can help the funk relief from Homa in his current location, that is this one.
Maddi MacClurg
win: Bryson DeChambeau, +1,050. DeChambeau is a recent victory at Liv Golf Korea and is my choice to win the PGA title. Quail Hollow is a rewards t-shirt route, and no one can use his power like Bryson. The layout lures players into taking a positive attitude—the challenge he welcomes—and pays dividends to successful people. If his iron is called, I think he put it in the bag.
Sleeper selection: Jordan Spieth, +4,000. The nearest flash ball, like his final 62-pointer in Byron Nelson’s round, hints that he’s not far from victory. Of course, Quail Hollow prefers long balls, but it also requires imagination and perseverance, which is two things Spieth has in spades. If the putter heats up, don’t be surprised if his speed is low. And, since the career Grand Slam is just out of reach, it may be the driving force he needs to complete his mission.
Kris McCormack
win: Rory McLloy, +500. Rory won four times in Quail How. He also hosted the 2017 PGA Championship and he also completed the T22. It’s one of his favorite tracks – long, demanding, perfect for his aggressive driving.
Sleeper selection: Joaquin Niemann, +2,700. Niemann has been one of the most reasonable players in the world, winning his third Liv golf victory of the year in Mexico City in April. He also won both Liv Golf Adelaide and Singapore earlier this season, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure and maintain consistency across different courses.

win: Scottie Scheffler, +500. This is not the sexiest choice, but the wisest. A year after starting, Scottie found his old form in Texas two weeks ago. If he could continue to hit the ball like he did, it would be Scottie’s third place Sunday night.
Sleeper selection: Keegan Bradley, +12,000. Why not have a little magic for the captain before the Ryder Cup? Something strange happened.

win: Rory McIlroy, +500. Boring, I know. But I chose this in December if that matters. If you want to go deeper, Sungjae IM (+6,600) is also a solid drama for Quail.
Sleeper selection: Stephan Jaeger, +20,000. Large courses. Big hitter. Jaeger ranked 21st at Wells Fargo last year, shooting 65 from the second round, so he went over and fell.
Josh Schrock
win: Bryson DeChambeau, +1,050. I had assigned Rory to specify this for this before he won the Masters, so I would be a bit ZAG. Bryson has been playing well for the past month, but not very good golf. He exploded in Miami, Augusta and Mexico before finally overcoming South Korea’s boundaries. This course should be perfect for him and he has been a professional competition for the past year. It’s easy to see the less-than-large golfer finish this week. If you want to look down a little bit, I like Shane Lowry +5,000.
Sleeper selection: Rickie Fowler, +14,000. I chose Justin Rose, my master sleeper at the time, and that rewarded. A legitimate reason to choose this choice. This time, I’m just going to disappear. Rickie has been underperforming since early March at Cognizant’s T18. But he finished T5 last time on Quail How and has a good history at Wells Fargo Championships, which included a 2012 victory and a fourth place in 2019. There is no time to look back like now.
Josh Sens
win: Scottie Scheffler, if he plays, he thinks, he thinks. If he plays well, he will win. The latter seems more likely. This is one of the rare cases where odds are a fairly fair reflection of a person’s actual opportunity.
Sleeper selection: Keegan Bradley, +12,000. Past PGA champions have clearly appreciated important moments. It was a great opportunity for him to inspire his potential role as captain of the Ryder Cup player.
