Joe Highsmith made a layoff on Cognizant Classic this week. But while he was the last person on the weekend, he was the last person on the PGA National, who shot 64 consecutive shots on the weekend to win the game with two shots.
In the 64s, the barrel-wearing lefty put a flat stick in the clinic and created a 200-foot putter on the weekend putter with his Scotty Cameron 009M Circle t Putter in the championship game.
After layoffs, he became the first player to win the PGA Tour event in nine years.
