This would be an emotional appearance given his previous impact on England’s top flights on whites, but ultimately it’s a decision that needs to be made and has the potential to be joined by another player at the gate of Yorkshire.

Not just Bamford: Leeds with £200,000 a week also need to leave

On the first attempt, the first six champions promoted teams were all relegated from the Premier League – highlighting the gap between the two divisions.
