Rangers must eventually cash in on Ibrox flop, and he earns more than Raskin

The Glasgow Rangers need a huge summer to ensure they can rebound and be competitive in Scotland in 2025/26 and beyond.

There is no way to describe their current domestic sports as anything else, except disappointment, as they will end in the year and no trophy can be shown for their efforts.

Although Raskin is more indispensable in the Premier League than he currently has more players than he has won in Ibrox.

As you can see in the table above, on the salary bill, only three of the nine players above Ruskin started more games than him in the Premier League – one was the goalkeeper, one was the captain and the other was the lender.

New ownership should go out of its way to throw away some fools, and while not contributing too many clubs on the court, that’s why Rangers have to move on from Danilo this summer.

Why should Rangers sell Danilo

The lightweight Blues signed the Brazilian striker from Feyenoord in the summer of 2023, reportedly trying to strengthen their options at the top of the stadium.

Danilo has scored 12 goals and nine assists in 42 games in all games so far, which is far from a terrible return in the face of goals, but he has failed to establish his regular starter at Ibrox.

Part of it depends on his usual injury issues. The 26-year-old striker has missed an astonishing 53 games due to injury since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

This has hampered his Rangers career so far, playing only 11 games in Premier League games during his time at Ibrox, suggesting that the club has not received the value from the £6 million they paid for the service, and his £26,000 per week report.

In Glasgow, he lacked a few minutes and contributions in the last two years, which has caused his market value to plummet by millions over the past 18 months or so.

As you can see in the table above, the Brazilian center is currently worth £2.6 million less than the £6 million Gers paid him in the summer of 2023.

He is a depreciated asset, and he doesn’t offer much reward on the salary he receives on Ibrox, which is why the club has to ruthlessly evacuate him from the squad in the summer transfer window.

Light Blue has to explore their options to see if he has any interest in him to make up for some of the money that the former Ajax star has exhausted.
