Meanwhile, Sesko is currently offering terms of £67 million, while Slovenia International has actually improved his goal score from last season (18), with all matches aiming at 21 goals.
Although some reports in Portugal earlier this week said Arsenal had agreed to a £59 million fee to sign the signing party for Sporting (O Jogo), the statement seems to have jumped as Sky Dermany’s Florian Plettenberg said on Friday that Berta said Berta was holding a serious conversation for Sesko.
Arsenal’s pursuit of top scorers remains very open as Berta has identified what he believes is best for Ateta.
Interestingly, as journalist Simon Phillips said last week, Arteta would personally prefer Sesko, while Berta was considered prefer Gyokeres.
But, it is clear that there is a huge demand for another striker from Arsenal. For much of this calendar year, Ateta was forced to use midfielder Mikel Merino as an emergency striker, which was injured against Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.
While the latter has since taken action, Arsenal must wait for more than 25 players per season as they hope to increase the Premier League Challenge.
According to some reports, there are other central awards on Berta’s shopping list, although pecking orders are farther than Sesko and Gyokeres.
Journalist Daniele Longo wrote an article for Calciomercato, and he shared that Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović is one of them.
Serbia International enters its final 12 months a week in Juve’s £359,000 contract with no signs of renewal, and it seems that the old lady must be more inclined to sell to him this summer than not lost in 2026 by Vlahovic.
Longgo noted that Vlahovic “will pack his luggage immediately” and join Arsenal if he has the chance, and Belta personally hopes the former Philentina star, even if his transfer priority is less preferred.
Considering that the “machine” has achieved at least 14 total goals since 2020/21, the “start” price for any negotiations by Vlahovic is about £42 million.
If Berta takes him seriously, Arsenal’s main obstacle is undoubtedly Vlahovic’s blackmail salary.
