49 people can hire “special” managers for Rangers

Barry Ferguson also has an interim head coach for the Glasgow Rangers to manage three more games before continuing from Ibrox this summer.

The former Scottish International came to replace Philippe Clement earlier this year and has won just four of his 12 games so far, and has so far won his recent clash at the old company Derby.

Therefore, Ferguson did not do much to suggest that the new owner should want to hand him the role full time when he completed the acquisition.

In fact, TeamTalk recently reported that the 49ers wanted to appoint a new face, without any new ones with the Rangers, who immediately ruled out Ferguson, who now played for and managed the light blue Ferguson.

The media added that Steven Gerrard was also not on the run due to this posture and would not return to Ibrox in the canoe for a second time.

While the 49ers won’t take action for British tacticians who canceled their contracts, they should look for managers who can become the version of Liverpool’s legend.

Why 49ers Should Want Your Own Steven Gerrard

Back in the summer of 2018, with the goal of postponing the Celtics’ league title, they confirmed the appointment of Gerrard’s four-year contract.

Rangers - Patterson - Ibrox - Gerrard

Prior to that summer, the basketball team had won seven Scottish Premier League titles in many seasons, and the GERS needed a manager to regain control of the league.

Gerrard is an adventurous date as he hasn’t finished a first-tier match yet, which is not an immediate move to work for the light blue, as British bosses need time to develop their style and build a team ready to win the championship.

The Rangers finished second in the Celtics’ second place in the first two seasons of the manager at Ibrox, and then they continued to win the division in the 2020/21 campaign, remaining unbeaten in the process.

As you can see in the table above, Gerrard’s side won 32 of the 38 games this season to win the Premier League title and prevent the Celtics from winning ten straight spots.

Over the following season, the Light Blues won eight of the first 12 games, bringing them to the top of the list, and the manager decided to fight for a chance in the Premier League with Aston Villa.

Unfortunately, the Wanderers didn’t have the second place at Gerrard in all four seasons as Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Michael Beale, Philippe Clement and Barry Ferguson failed to offer titles to Ibrox’s loyal champions.

Therefore, the 49ers should want to find their own version of the UK boss, as they are now facing the task the club faces in 2018: Stop the Celtics’ title.

Why Rangers Should Target Frank Lampard

Back in October 2023, when Beale removed her duties, Sky Sports reported that Frank Lampard showed interest in the available positions at Ibrox.

About two years later, if Coventry fails to get a promotion through the playoffs, the 49ers must target the English manager to see if he is interested in the job this time.

He seems unlikely to abandon Sky Blue if they enter England’s top flight, but if Coventry doesn’t join Leeds United and Burnley, the Rangers must convince Lampard to move to Scotland.

The 46-year-old tactician usually deploys a 4-2-3-1 combination, joining Sky Blue when they ranked 17th in the championship game and scoring with the highest 3-pointer and leading them to a fifth-place finish to get a spot in the playoffs.

Pundit Jermaine Jenas recently spoke on Talksport, praising Lampard’s ability to pass criticism of his work and claiming that he did a “very special” job in Coventry, which is hard to object when you look at the image above.

The former Chelsea midfielder played with Gerrard at the international level and has been successful throughout his management career, but is currently thriving at the CBS Arena.

As you can see in the table above, Lampard succeeded in sixth and fourth place in Derby County and Chelsea before being fired by Premier League giants and Everton.

Then, after Graham Potter was fired at Stamford Bridge, he endured a frustrating temporary spell at Chelsea, earning only 0.56 points per game in nine games before he scored a job at Coventry earlier this season.

While it might be too far away for him to be the first in the Premier League at this moment, Lampard ended his playoff position in both seasons in the championship match against the Derby and Coventry, which shows that he can inspire and build a team to consistently win.

Respect for his career earned his respect, and there is a compelling argument that he might be the 49ers of the new era of Ibrox, his own version of Gerrard, and another manager on UP could prove that, not those who have been there and may not have the same motivation.

Not just Gerrard: “Easy to Invade” Ranger Star must not be part of the 49ers era

Steven Gerrard isn’t the only big name that shouldn’t be part of the 49ers era of the Wanderer.

Like Gerrard, Lampard hasn’t won the league yet, and the prospect of doing so at Ibrox can be an attractive and inspiring factor for him, which is why the 49ers can lure him out of Coventry if his team fails to win the playoffs.

The British tactician showed hope at the championship level and proved that he could inspire a losing team and turn it into a winning team, essentially the Rangers need.
