Ah, 2025. But a good start is to finally play some golf courses you've always wanted to play. This is your year. What's on your bucket list? Here's what some of our employees had to say.
Josh Sens: Lofoten Islands Link. Norway still has a long way to go. But ever since I saw photos of this remote course, it has been at the top of my bucket list. Ideally, I'd get there in the middle of summer, when you can play under the midnight sun. If all that wasn’t reason enough to book a flight, I also happen to love pickled fish.
Sean Zucker: I wanted to visit the mystical Milwaukee Country Club. Wisconsin has become one of the world's great public golf destinations, but the state's top courses are (still considered by many) the private gems north of Milwaukee. After traveling around all the top public tracks in the state, I was interested to see how the MCC performed.

Connor Federico: I'm proud to source this opinion from course raters, readers, and social media commenters in the golf community: Arcadia Bluffs. The Northern Michigan resort features the South Course (ranked No. 50 on Golf's latest list of the 100 Best Courses to Play) and the Bluffs Course (ranked No. 57). When our rankings were released last month, many golf travelers commented that these two courses deserved better recognition than any other single course or resort. Views of Lake Michigan, strategic challenges and huge rolling greens are all reasons why visitors love both courses. Even better, Arcadia Bluffs is opening its newest course this summer: “The Dozen,” a short course taking resorts across the country with six par 3s and six par 4s. A new take on the trend.
Nick Piastowski: After competing in this year's U.S. Open, I'm more determined than ever to do well at Pinehurst. I want to try walking the Turtle Green. I want to lose the ball in the waste zone. I want to try Bryson DeChambeau's shot at No. 18. I'd like to have a Wicked Weed beer at the Deuce restaurant. It's time.
Dylan Detier: OMG, where to begin. Longing to get back to Bandon. I haven’t been to Sand Valley yet. The new scarecrow course at Gamble Sands is already in my plans. But let’s take the example of Sand Valley in Hurricane Utah. It looks spectacular. The greater St. George area is a rising golf destination, and Sand Valley looks to be one of the best. I love adventure golf – it’s time to plan one.
Jack Hersh: There are a lot of exotic options out there, but I need to go back and play the rest of Bandon Dunes' courses. So I vowed to post my 2024 entries in this space until it happens: In 2021, I was lucky enough to compete in the Oregon State Amateur at Bandon Dunes. If I were to pick one place to play in the state championship during my short stay in the Beaver State, it would be this place. There are five 18-hole courses there (all on our top 100 list), but the tournament I played was at Bandon Trails, so I still needed to check out the others. I don't have any current plans to return to the South Coast of Oregon, but going back and playing the other four tracks will be a goal of mine every year until it happens.
