Struggling with a short distance ball? Try this simple key to this top teacher.

Short distance from 10 yards should be easy – right? But if you ever encountered this photo in the turn, you know how tricky it can be. Waving too hard, the ball passed by the national flag. Relax, or try to be too cute, barely let it pass through the grass in front of you.

This is a lens that requires a sense of precision and trust in your technology. With several keys from Parker McLachlin, you can watch the golf teacher, you can master this photo and strengthen your confidence in the green.

As McLachlin explains in this clip, many amateurs struggle on the 10-yard court because they are unsure of the technology needed – especially sports.

“They aren’t sure how far they should go. They aren’t sure how much physical interaction they should have,” McClarklin said.

Understandably confusing. From such a short distance, do you really need to use so much body movement? Without practice, it can easily be misleading how big or small your swing length should be.

In the video, McLacklin shows what he likes to see in this photo. When he brought the club back, McLacklin emphasized using the upper body rather than the wrist to push the movement.

To help you remember to use that upper body, McLacklin said: Move backwards, move.

When it comes to your setup, McClarklin says you only need to remember three things:

1. Open the club slightly

2. Keep the club axis in a neutral position

3. Close the feet together

“This will help us get some acceleration and freedom in this photo,” McLacklin said.

With these handy keys along with some exercises – you’ll turn this tricky shot into a trustworthy part of the short game.
