I’ve been passing Reks Sling Blade Golf Trivex Perfercripcrions sunglasses through the Pig Test Room (my real life), for months, from links to slopes. It’s time to share my $.02, or $199 worth…
First time watching
The suspender blade arrives in a solid protective case that is actually pulling (below) – a nice touch compared to those cheap snapshot boxes that pop up in golf bags. The frame design is sporty, but the appearance is not high. You don’t feel like you’re wearing Star Trek props there.
In the course
Let’s be a reality – As a prescription wearer, finding the right golf glasses at the Augusta National Golf Club (home of the Masters Championship) may be harder than downhill putters. Trivex lenses are where these babies shine (pun). “Enhanced Color” technology is more than just marketing speeches. When I first put on the suspender blade, the first word in my mouth was: “Wow!” The color, contrast, depth, and definition are all super. Reading green becomes noticeably easy, just like someone turns on the contrast knob in your field of view. In the afternoon round, the subtle hidden in the shadow suddenly pops up.
The anti-reflective coating is standard (thanks to Reks for not making it an extra charge). This means that when you focus on water hazards, it reduces glare, although it won’t help your slices stay dry.
Durability
“Unbreakable” is a bold claim, but these frameworks were beaten. I might accidentally sit on them. Twice, count. They survived zero damage in the back. Try it with your $400 designer framework.
Beyond Golf
I took these bad boys mountain bikes and skiing. Lightweight frames mean they remain placed in active motion and high-speed optical clarity is a stimulating confidence. Whether you’re bombing a black diamond or reading a 30-foot birdie putt, the vision is clear and clear.
good
+ Excellent optical clarity and contrast
+ is actually indestructible (trust me, I tested it)
+ Comfortable 18+ holes, 15 miles on MTB, skiing all day on Bluebird Day
+Variety beyond golf
+Made in the United States
“but……”
This is super small, but I do have criticism/suggestions. After completing a round with these shades, I put them on my golf hat. Golfers often wear shadows on their hats. Some even put lenses behind the hat. Then, as I placed the bag on the car, I bent down and the shadow fell off the hat and fell directly to the ground. As a result, I now have a chip on one of the lenses. I’m very disappointed with this. nang. My other shadows, like my oak tree, have rubber at the end of the temple (the arms of glasses). Rubbing helps to have more shadows, although over time I have many of these rubber sections worn or completely dropped.
Final judgment
The judgment is. The guilt is great.
For golfers wearing prescriptions (and outdoor enthusiasts in general), Reks Sling Blade Trivex is a solid performer that won’t ruin the bank or itself. Regardless of your game’s possible, optical clarity and contrast enhancements do help your game. Durability means these will last longer than your current driver, and they cost much less!
If you wear prescription lenses and play golf, you should be in your short list. Your eyes and obstacles will be thankful. It makes sense to be able to see where your shot ends, especially on the scorecard.
Now, forgive me when I go to the range to make that slice. At least I’ll see it clearly when it enters the tree. OK, honestly. I rarely slice it. 🙂
