A handful of champions impressed Irving Wilson during “Stick” cameo

Golf fans, happy! A new golf-centric show premiered on Apple TV+ today.

“Stick” is a 10-episode series starring Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a former Tour pro who had a career that cheated prematurely 20 years ago. When audience members meet Price, his life falls into chaos: his marriage collapses and he is fired at a job at an Indiana sporting goods store. But an accidental encounter with a talented 17-year-old (played by Peter Dager) offers new goals and directions for Pryce’s life.

The show premiered on Wednesday on Apple TV+, with the new series debuting weekly until the show’s finale on July 23. The ensemble cast includes Marc Maron, Mariana Trevino, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant, and also includes cameos from travel stars, radio, media, media, media and influencers.

In fact, there was a Tour star and U.S. Open champion – his performance mark impressed Wilson.

“I think it’s interesting that it doesn’t surprise me – obviously they are not actors, but I think they can do that because I find these professional athletes are performers, [and can] Wilson said of the tour of a few tours: “Wyndham Clark has had a tricky scene for me as an actor: it was amazing. It was a hard thing, he had to do it, and I watched him just get ready and fine-tune it as we keep going, and he just nailed it.”

In addition to Clark, golf fans can also look forward to seeing Max Homa, Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa and Jim Nantz during the show.
