Donnama explodes Italy after Norway drops in World Cup qualifiers

Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma slammed his team’s performance as Azzurri suffered a full-blown defeat and started the 2026 World Cup qualifying match in a dismal way.

The PSG shooters who won the Champions League last week with Ligue 1 team were between the clubs as Italy lost 3-0 in Oslo in Friday’s qualifying campaign.

Alexander Sorloth, Antonio Nusa and Erling Haaland scored a memorable victory for the hosts, and for visitors the results are a painful reminder of their recent World Cup dilemma.

Despite being crowned European champion in 2021, Azzurri has not reached the World Cup final for a decade.

Their last time they played for the international football match was in Brazil in 2014, where they were eliminated along with England in the group stage.

This has become a recurring embarrassment for the four-time world champions, but in a group that includes Israel, Estonia and Moldova, Italy remains a favorite, eligible for next summer in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

But for Donnarumma, the performance and results were much lower than Luciano Spalletti’s expectations.

After the game, Donnarumma said, “I have nothing to say.” “We need to pay attention to the performance tonight and improve.

“Our fans are not worth it. We need to check our conscience and we need to spend the night together.

“We have to find strength because we are Italy. These types of games are unacceptable and everyone has to take responsibility. We have to be more united than ever and we need it.”

Meanwhile, Norway has some gold talent, continuing to be responsible for the qualifications, and its first World Cup final since 1998.

The Scandinavian nation has scored the highest points from three games in the opening ceremony, scoring three or more goals in each game.

They headed to Estonia on Monday when Italy placed Moldova in Mapei Stadium, a combined residence in Serie B-side U.S. Sassuolo and AC Reggiana.
