Indeed, according to a report by Bola (via Arsenal News), the Gunners can submit a proposal to Sports CP defender Ousmane Diomande in the coming days, recently learned that he will receive fees under its release clause.

Despite the £67 million issue clause in Diomande’s contract, Sporting recently told Crystal Palace that they are willing to set out for £51 million, but there are many other top clubs in the game to get his signature.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also said to be “very attentive” to the 21-year-old situation, emphasizing his high praise.

Diomande may be a “mix” of Gabriel and Saliba

Gabriel and Saliba have built quite a number of partnerships at the heart of Arsenal’s defense, although Jamie Carragher suggested that the French international team was not the same when playing with Jakub Kiwior.

Carragher says: “I think Saliba is a better player, but Gabriel is a better leader and if he wants to get to Virgil van Dijk level he needs to bring it into the game. Saliba needs Gabriel. Since Gabriel is out of the team, I’m looking at Saliba, I’m watching.”

Given that the two defenders complement each other, the Gunners are in the competition for Diomande, which should be exciting news as he was described by data analyst Ben Mattinson as a “mix between Gabriel and Saliba”.

Despite being only 21 years old, the Ivorian’s sports name has appeared in his 101st-team first team, suggesting he can go straight to Arteta’s backline, and journalist Zach Lowy has impressed with his performance in the past.
