Adams

Scottish striker Che Adams won a hat-trick as Steve Clarke’s side rebounded from defeat to Iceland to Liechtenstein.

The former Southampton striker – Turin, now in Italy – scored only once in the last 19 hats before his trip to Vaduz.

But just four minutes later, he lashed out strongly, and he settled any nerves after the home team failed to clear the corner.

Adams doubled the lead when rolling from 15 yards after a great job at 18-year-old midfielder Lennon Miller.

Ipswich striker George Hirst started the second half and Adams scored a goal at the start of the second half.

Adams finished the treble at the last moment of his advance on Tommy Conway’s cross.

Adams told BBC Scotland: “I’m so excited to get into the scoring piece and help the team.

“It’s been a great score for Scotland, and it’s not much since I’ve been here.

“We know it’s difficult, the conditions are not good, but we are very professional and our mentality is important.

“It’s important to win this year. We’re so glad we’ve given our goals from the Icelandic game.”
