Angel Gomes will join Marseille after leaving Lille next to France.
The former Manchester United teenager won four blocks for England, and he has links with West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur, but he chose Marseille, where he will contact another former Manchester United player from Mason Greenwood.
The 24-year-old can also join Burnley’s CJ Egan-Riley on Stade Velodrome after Clarets confirmed the defender turned down a new deal proposed in Turf Moor.

A statement from Marseille reads: “Olympique de Marseille announced that it had reached an agreement with Angel Gomes in principle for the arrival of the British international midfielder.”
Egan-Riley was impressed when Burnley was promoted back to the Premier League last season, but there was no contract this summer either.
The Lancashire side longs for the 22-year-old to stay, but he has accepted what he wants to keep moving forward.
They confirmed the departure of the centre-back in a statement referring to his joining a Ligue 1 club, who asked not to be named. It is generally believed that this is Marseille.
The statement added: “Burnley Football Club can confirm that the representative of CJ Egan-Riley has informed the representative of England’s U-21 international defender that has now formally rejected the club’s proposal to sign a significant long-term contract with the club.
“Although the club is committed to ensuring CJ’s long-term future and the substantial investment it provides, CJ decided to seek opportunities in France.”
