Everton Eyes 29 y/o Netherlands int’l as Walker alternative

Everton is closely linked to the moves of Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker, but another Premier League player is also seen as an option.

The Blues hope to leave Manchester City after locking down Walker’s high-profile signing this summer, where the 35-year-old was allowed to leave Manchester City after winning six Premier League titles legendarily.

Walker may not be an old player, but that’s not to say he still doesn’t have much to offer, and Everton sees him as an upgraded Ashley Young, and a player with a winning mindset and highest experience.

The fact that David Moyes approved the transfer can only be a good thing, and the manager needs to have a big say in any transfer business that happens at the club this summer.

For now, Walker may seem like he will complete Everton’s move even if other clubs are interested, but different goals need to be considered if the move doesn’t happen. Now, a new name has been thrown into the hat, which is a potential addition to Merseysiders.

Everton looks at “not valued” Walker alternative

according to guardianEverton’s Jamie Jackson and Will Unwin are also interested in signing Fulham right-back Kenny Tete if they decide not to make a deal with Walker.

The 29-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this month, with his deal at Craven Cottage expired, known as the Blues choice, as did Vladimir Coufal of West Ham and Kyle Walker-Peters of Southampton.

Tete is a Dutch 14-card international, probably not as famous or explosive as Walker, but he is six years younger and may be Everton’s keen signing, who is praised by Pundit Robbie Mustoe for his “no-visit” style.

“I also like the way they defend. Kenny Tete, I think it’s usually another guy who’s not valued. He didn’t do well, he’s a good defender, a solid ball, I think he’s a fan favorite, he was missed last year, and I think last year was him for some time and he did a no doubt about him.

Tete has been a steady performance for Fulham, averaging 2.8 goals and 2.5 tackles per game in the Premier League last season, and he may be a reliable addition to Everton.
