About two months ago, I asked my fellow golfers about an inquiry: What kind of items do you want to add to your gear track this summer? Response changed, from fragmented games in the backyard to GPS/speaker combo. I can’t resist the item I’ve been following for some time: a new travel backpack.
With international travel for a long time, I know my trusty tote bag won’t cut it. On a tour last year, the bag was packed onto the g and I thought the belt would be etched onto my shoulders. Too uncomfortable! I know it’s time to make a change. The backpack seemed to be the most effective solution, so I decided to try the Jones A2. After debuting on the day of an 18-hour trip, I’m happy to say that A2 is definitely the goalkeeper.
A2 Backpack – Le Creme/Olive
The A2 Backpack is the latest A-series for travel professionals. With enough space and separation, this package will keep you organized for life on the go. Padded shoulder straps and cushioned support ensure comfortable carrying when filled with everyday essentials. The A2 is the first Jones product to offer a hidden embroidery position above and below the front buckle, which can make the look smooth while still carrying the meaning of the design. The new series features recycled tear materials and is woven from 100% pet single plastic bottles. The series is by far the most innovative, durable and waterproof construction, supporting Jones’ commitment to a more sustainable future. Tested and proven in the ever-changing climate of the Pacific Northwest.

I like Jones A2
Laptop sleeve
My long trip required bringing my laptop, and the A2 laptop sleeve was a dream. My 13-inch computer slides in and out easily, but the sleeve is in the middle of the backpack, so it feels great.
Pocket hold
The A2 is truly an organized traveler’s dream, with five zippered pockets, three exterior sleeves and three interior sleeves. There is plenty of storage in the two largest parts of the bag, leaving room for other books, electronics or clothing. Actually, I used a whole large pocket for a pair of wedge-shaped heels and another internal compartment for sandals that couldn’t fit their luggage. The flap pockets come in handy too, thanks to our designated snack storage space.
Two water bottle sleeves
One thing I noticed about kids’ backpacks is: the water bottle sleeves may not be enough. Usually, it is mesh and short, with little to no enough support for snowmen, Stanleys and other insulating bottles we like to carry around. If you have an insulated bottle drip from a portion of your body a few feet tall because it is not properly secured in the bag, you will understand the severity of the safety of the water bottle. So, I was surprised to find that the Jones A2 contained two recyclable Ripstop fabric sleeves on each side of the bag, both of which easily accommodated the 18-ounce Yeti Rambler we brought on during our trip.
Attractive universal appearance for both men and women

Maddi MacClurg
Honestly, one of my reservations about upgrading from a tote bag to a backpack is the style factor. The tote bag is stylish and fun, and the backpack doesn’t always exude this vibe immediately. I want my airport to look more towards cool moms than Pack mule. But I was glad to find that Jones all looked cool and felt super cool. I chose the Le Creme/Olive Combo, which is a very good neutral option. However, I think there are a dozen other colors that appeal to both men and women.
Luggage belt
You know it’s a travel backpack when it can be seamlessly integrated with luggage, and the A2 includes a convenient luggage strap, making it a bondage to the trunk handle that is easy to stomp.
Comfortable belt
I filled the A2 to the edges and it was heavy enough to need to be heavy onto the shoulders, but once the belt was in place, the weight distribution was excellent and felt very even. The rear filling was comfortable and I even walked through a 20 minute walk without discomfort. I also like the fact that the belt can be easily adjusted when the bag is already on my back.
All in all, Jones A2 ticks all the boxes for me and fills the gaps missing in my previous travel tote bags. I can say I am traveling backpack now – and love it.
