TGL has been successful in Year 1, but potential playoffs are imminent

With only one week left in the first regular season, TGL is TGL, the simulator Golf League co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy has had a success.

After more than a year of hype, high-tech venture capital faced a bigger focus when it debuted in January.

The starting point is bumpy. There are technical issues (still being solved), the game is mainly blowout, and once the singles start, the entertainment will drop. However, the benefit of being a startup is the ability to adapt quickly. TGL has done this in several ways. They reduced the high-tech green slopes, the distance mess from the T-shirt box to reduce simulator issues and changed the “hammer” rules to give the game different competitive wrinkles.

As a result, TGL’s final weeks showed its best form in the league. The game is competitive, and as the players figure out the victory of the technology, golf has gotten better and the stars have completely purchased it, which has attracted a lot of interest.

With the playoffs on the deck, TGL has performed well in its second major season, and can see the league expand and bring more of the world’s best golfers. Tony Finau just signed a game for the Los Angeles Golf Club and praised the experience. Jason Day and Brooks Koepka (knowing the realization of the future of unity) were already present. The league should also consider adding LPGA players in the future.

A strong playoff season will bring miracles to the league as it hopes to capitalize on its newfound momentum. There is only one problem: TGL’s two biggest needle shooters are currently outside the playoff picture, one game is going to go.

As TGL hopes to build a crescendo-gradual at the end of the inaugural season, this will make the league good for Woods and McIlroy’s teams in the playoffs.

This will no longer be possible, as Los Angeles Golf Club, Bay Golf and Atlanta Avenue all had a week-long win playoff playoff. This leaves a spot between New York Golf Club, McIlroy’s Boston Ordinary Golf and Woods’ Jupiter link.

McIlroy’s team has not won the game yet and will face New York in its season finale. Jupiter only has one victory, which is a normal overtime victory against Boston. Currently, New York is ranked fourth, winning more holes this season than Boston and New York. If Boston beats New York, it still needs to hope that Jupiter will lose to Atlanta, and it ends with more loopholes than New York. Jupiter needs to beat Atlanta and make New York lose.

The league will benefit McIlroy and/or Woods in a playoff environment. This will attract more attention to the last few weeks of the product. The playoffs will be disappointing without any big shots in golf. (If this was the NBA in the 1990s, David Stern would put his thumb on the scale to find a way to get votes in the playoffs to boost interest.)

The league will need competitive senior games to balance the scale of McIlroy and Woods’ absence. For other stars’ honors, the game between Boston and Jupiter has not yet been involved in the game being the best TGL has had lately.

Billy Horschel, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas, Justin Rose and other golf characters start to shine in competitive teams, unlike the week-to-week championships of the PGA Tour. Saw the TGL should be able to accomplish the power in the ongoing rise of Ludvig Aberg’s star.
