First-team Sunderland players like Trai Hume and Dan Neil are paying more and are negotiating to leave the Light.
During Regis Le Bris’ first season in charge of the club, the Black Cats were impressed by the entire Cats, at least having a place in the championship playoffs.
Sunderland has been finishing the top two in the second division, but back-to-back defeats of Leeds United and Hull City have created major depressions in these hopes.
Le Bris said his team was “really positive” and “very dedicated” before clashing with Sheffield on Wednesday.
“The atmosphere after the hull race was really positive – it’s not that we enjoyed the failure, it’s that we managed the situation correctly. The three courses this week were very intense. The output wasn’t always perfect, but the behavior and commitment were very positive.
“The team is very involved in the process and we know this league is always tough – we will have highs and lows, but the main thing is consistency. We can’t be too emotional, positive or negative. If we want to be at the best level, we will face a lot of obstacles.”

This is not what Regis Le Bris wants to hear.
One player who has not contributed to the championship season is Jewison Bennette, who played only nine minutes under Le Bris in the case of a failed EFL Cup in August.
He is associated with the relocation of transfer FC LNZ Cherkasy, with the transfer window closed on March 11.

The 20-year-old is a Costa Rica international player and academy coach Graeme Murty praised the Premier League after last year’s Premier League International Cup, two goals from the wingers were excluded from offside.
“He’s happy to work with him. He never complains. He always wants to listen. He was really disappointed that both goals were left out because they could be a critical moment in the game.
“We came out, but he had to keep going and then he had to start himself again and actually start the game again… because it wasn’t easy, because it wasn’t easy, but he could be very happy with his day’s work.”
It seems like the move-out of the winger will be a man worthy of Bennett to see if it is borrowed or permanent, and his photocontract will expire in 2026.
