“Charge him a million dollars” … James Worthy

Los Angeles Lakers legend James Worthy reacted to Anthony Edwards’ shooting.

The Los Angeles Lakers expanded their winning streak to four games after a tough win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For its value, the Timberwolves almost eliminated the 23-point deficit to make a stunning comeback. However, they have to do so without superstar Anthony Edwards.

In a fierce melee with Jarred Vanderbilt in the first half and blasphemed the Refs in the second half, Edwards found himself popped up in the third quarter.

This is Edwards’ 16th technical foul this season, which will result in an automatic suspension of the 3X NBA All-Star Game.

James Worthy reacts to Anthony Edwards suspension

Given the brutal competition in the Western Conference, every game is a high-stakes showdown for the Timberwolves.

Losing cool is the last thing T-Wolves wants to see from the 23-year-old leader. Keeping this in mind, La Lakers Legend James Worthy offers a demanding solution to keep Antman’s checks during post-match analysis.

“Charge him a million dollars. You want to achieve a certain meaning and want to continue fouling…and that will cost you.

“Give a million dollars after seven, I bet you’ll slow down,” Worthy said.

There is no doubt that Edwards is one of the smartest stars in the league right now, but he is also very disciplined.

Edwards has already received over $200,000 fines in the 2024-25 NBA season due to his lack of respect for officials and the melee in the game.

Chris Finch

Edwards is the glue that puts the Timberwolves roster. Considering that he is also a leader in the team, Antman must lead by example.

At present, the 23-year-old certainly cannot do the job correctly. Understandably, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch was frustrated by Edwards’ lack of discipline on the court.

“He has to be better. He bursts too much. I think a lot of them deserve it. They’ll miss the phone every now and then. We’ve been talking to him about it. It’s on him,” Finch said after the end.

Before the pop-up, Edwards scored 18 points, six rebounds and five assists in just 26 minutes of game time. If he stays in the game, T-Wolves may drive the 111-102 defeat out of the house.
