New Hylard’s sign and party gets the axe

In November 2024, shocking news came out that Edu will leave Arsenal after serving as club sports director for many years.

The Brazilian’s history is not flawless, but he is still the one who helped the Gunners bring £105 million human Declan Rice to the Emirates Stadium.

Since his withdrawal, the club’s transfer policy has been linked to interim director Jason Ayto’s failure to use the Winter Strengthening.

Arsenal needs a new striker, but sadly, this is not coming. They will now have to look at the summer market.

Now, their hiring in the coming months will be powered by Andrea Berta. Atletico Madrid was reportedly a former Madrid and North Londoner is closing the hiring of 53-year-old Italians.

His recruitment is breathtaking, especially with the likes of Rodri and Julian Alvarez signing under his wings.

So, what will Arteta’s starting lineup look like once Berta completes summer recruitment? Well, we predicted it looks exciting…

Goalkeeper – David Raya

No surprise to be the first place. He has grown stronger since replacing Aaron Ramsdale as the club’s plug.

Although Bruno Fernandes had some dubious positions on Sunday with free kicks at Old Trafford, his form was mean, keeping Portugal and Noussair Mazraoui some late goalkeeper heroes.

Now – Ben White

Entering the 2025/26 season, the right back position is still unclear. Ben White was eliminated with an injury, Jurrien Timber did a great job, scoring twice and assisting with three goals.

That said, White is a fan favorite and his link to Bukayo Saka is a game-changer. Once it fits him, he will likely be back to his position.

Central defender William Saliba

Who else? Arsenal will have many options next semester, with Riccardo Calafiori fighting for roles and wood, likely to release some defensive positions again.

However, Saliba is one of the best around. He missed only two Premier League games, due to injuries and suspensions.

Central defender – Gabriel Magalhaes

Arsenal’s trusted defensive duo will undoubtedly be key as the Gunners seek to end their league title drought.

It’s been over 20 years since they last won England’s top award, but in Gabriel and Saliba they’re arguably the best defensive partnership.

Leftback – Myles Lewis-Skelly

There are several competitors in the position, but we hope the 18-year-old will take it next semester after a roller coaster in the first team so far.

His discipline has also been questioned from his memorable goals against Manchester City, and so far he has won two red cards in 2025.

That said, he is one of the best young players in the country, and we hope this will continue in 2025/26.

No. 6 – Martin Zubimendi

The first of three new signatures built by Berta. Reports that appeared in January said Martin Zubimendi would be moving to Emirates throughout the summer, and nothing can hint that he will not have ever since.

He was called one of the “best midfielders in the world” by Spanish boss Luis de la Fuente, and he was probably the perfect replacement for Thomas Partey and Jorginho. He can break the game, indicate the game and have a good pass range.

Left 8 characters – Declan Rice

It’s quite strange that Arsenal’s Club Record Buy is a critic of the semester, but he is now one of the names on the team list, with some claiming he deserves to be Arsenal captain at Martin Odegaard.

This semester, we think we saw less rice than Arteta’s holding players, and he believes he will be more forward-looking.

As a result, he scored four goals and eight assists, the latest of which was Sunday against Manchester United.

Role 10 – Ethan Nwaneri

Perhaps the most controversial decision Arteta may be to exclude Odegaard from his best team next season. This is not due to the new signing, but the generational talent that 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri has.

The teenager was dazzled in England and Europe’s defense this semester, scoring eight goals in 28 games and being able to play the core role behind the striker.

Hale Ender has appeared primarily on the right feature since becoming a regular starter, but the attraction will be taken away by the club’s star man.

Right Wing – Bukayo Saka

How shameful is it to lose Saka at the end of this year? Seventh place was by far the best sport of his career, packing nine goals and posting 13 assists in 24 games, before a hamstring injury had left him for months.

The names and future legends on the team table, no chance of anyone transferring from this XI, and even Nwaneri.

Left-Nico Williams

Will Beta be the one who brought Nico Williams to the N5 for a long time? Supporters will certainly hope so.

Arsenal has long been an admirer of the report, noting that Arteta “would love” the club’s Spanish wingers, who of course can do it in the service of the left.

The left wing was the biggest problem position for Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli to fail to truly reach the highest form before being injured against Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, and so far, they scored just 13 times between them in all matches in 2024/25.

Williams, full of rhythm and deception, will be the ideal player to take this Arsenal offense to the next level. Still, there is a part of the puzzle…

Forward – Benjamin Sesko

Sorry, Arsenal fans, but Alexander Isak is not coming. Berta doesn’t have that much magic.

Unfortunately, Newcastle made a £150 million asking price for their Star Man, a fee that no one in the world can afford.

As a result, Benjamin Sesko may be their first choice. The Slovenians were linked to the move to London last summer but ultimately decided to sign a new contract at RB Leipzig.

That said, his release clause is £58 million and may move this summer. The young forward, described by scout Jacek Kulig as “New Erling Haaland”, was a powerful giant car that had a strike against him. Most importantly, he scored.

Sesko found tennis in 17 of 35 appearances this semester, which could help boost the signing of Arsenal’s title.
