Brady Tkachuk knows he can't control the rumor mill
Julian McKenzie in Sports: Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk talks about his name popping up in rumors again and that it's out of his control.
“It's something I can't really control,” Tkachuk said. “I'll be honest. It doesn't really bother me because it's coming from a place that obviously isn't true. I think it just speaks to the leadership we have in this organization, including Mr. (Michael) Ann Lauer and Steve husband (Staus) and how they support not only me now but the players here and in the future.
“This has happened so many times and it's obviously not true. Being frustrated about things I have no control over is just a waste of energy.
Senators defender Thomas Chabot said that was unfair to Tkachuk, but added that rumors are rumors and they won't go away because it's part of sports and entertainment.
Pittsburgh Penguins may have some reservations about Niels Hoglander
