The University of St Andrews has launched a new partnership with local winery Eden Mill St Andrews, which has become an official partner of Saints Golf, the University of St Andrews golf programme.

Beginning this academic year (2024-2025), the new partnership will see Eden Mill appear in the Saints Golf apparel line for all competitive college teams, including the college's top performance golf scholars.

Eden Mill’s modern Scotch whiskey and gin distillery will open in 2025 and be located on the University’s Eden Campus, becoming a major new landmark in St Andrews and a Scottish tourist attraction. The site will offer gin and whiskey tours as well as a cocktail bar and private barrel ownership scheme.

Eden Mill Brand Manager Euan Kinninmonth said: “Eden Mill and the University of St Andrews are like-minded, we are both from this ancient town, and we are building a clean, green future on the Eden campus. Not only do we support the university's golf program, we are even supporting the latest The St Andrews single malt whiskey art launch featured students in their iconic red gowns as they took their customary stroll on the pier.

The University of St. Andrews Performance Golf Team, one of five St. Andrews competitive teams to win the British Students Match Play Championship back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, is composed of Saints Golf Performance Scholars.

Saints Golf Performance Scholars represent the University at golf tournaments around the world, compete domestically within the BUCS calendar, compete across Europe as part of the R&A Student Tour Series, and offer additional competitive opportunities including invitations to compete in North and South America High level tournament.
