The Cavaliers will face the Nets on the road on Monday. Cleveland is off to a hot start in the 2024-25 season, as they easily defeated the Nets. The Cavaliers won 130-101 and improved to 23-4 on the season. That's the best record in the Eastern Conference for a one-and-a-half-game lead.
Isaac Okoro suffered a sprained AC joint during Monday's game against Brooklyn. It was announced Thursday that Okoro will miss at least two weeks in Cleveland. With the exception of Max Strouse, who has yet to make his season debut, the Cavaliers are relatively healthy to start the season. Now, with Okoro out for at least two weeks, head coach Kenny Atkinson will have to shake up the rotation to fill Okoro's playing time.

In the 2020 NBA Draft, Isaac Okoro was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the fifth overall pick in the first round. In five seasons, Okoro appeared in 302 games and started 232 times. As a rookie in the 2020-21 season, he started all 67 games he played for the Cavaliers. His rookie season averages of points (9.6), (3.1) rebounds and (1.9) assists per game are still the best statistical seasons of his career. Okoro has never been a player who scores more than 20 points a night. Instead, the 23-year-old doesn't play a big role on offense but is known for his defensive efforts.
Isaac Okoro is a versatile player for the Cavaliers. He can switch between defender and forward and is an excellent full-back. In the 2024-25 season, Okoro played 23 games for the Cavaliers, starting 16 of them. His three-point shooting percentage (.429) is Okoro's personal best and the second-highest in the NBA this season. Okoro's three-point shooting percentage has steadily improved over his first five seasons. He's been working on his long-distance shot for years, and it's paid off. Unfortunately, Okoro suffered a shoulder injury and will miss at least two weeks. If he returns successfully, he will miss about six games for the Cavaliers.
