The Florida Atlantic Owls had some impressive wins last season, including wins over No. 6 Vanderbilt and No. 12 East Carolina.
FAU also defeated Miami twice.
But Owls coach John McCormack didn't accept the praise.
“We lost a lot of games, too,” McCormack said.
He is right.
The Owls are 28-29 and failed to qualify for the NCAA regionals for the fifth consecutive year.
FAU is considered one of the best mid-major programs in the nation and has received 14 regional bids since 1985. Since McCormack took over as head coach in 2009.
