Bose, who is at No. 9, played a key role as he smashed an unbeaten 81 off 93 balls, recording the highest score on debut at that position in Test cricket.. His innings turned South Africa's slim lead into a commanding 90-run victory, with the hosts reeling out for 301 to Pakistan's 211.

Bose's innings featured 15 exquisite boundaries, showcasing his ability to combine technical precision with attacking intent. His superb batting came under huge pressure after the team lost wickets in quick succession, leaving the innings in jeopardy at 213-8. The match turned decisively in South Africa's favour, thanks to Bosch's work with the lower organization. He first added 41 points Kamuzeng Rabada (13), steadied the ship after a mid-innings collapse and then further extended the lead by 47 runs with the last man Dane Patterson (12).
Bose batted with flair and confidence, displaying wide range to the obvious frustration of Pakistan's bowlers. His batting prowess is highlighted by his ability to break through precise screens and pull the ball to find gaps. Although Bose bowls at a fast pace, his first-class batting average of over 40 proves that he is more than capable of stepping up in critical situations. Bose's bowling contribution was equally impactful as he took impressive figures of 4/63 in the first innings. His fiery pace and accuracy troubled Pakistan batsmen throughout the innings.
Pakistan stumbles against South Africa's lead
South Africa's bowlers built on Bose's heroics and put Pakistan under tremendous pressure in the second innings. By the end of the game the next day, The visitors are struggling at odds of 88/3still two points behind. opening pair Saim Ayoub(28) and captain Jean Massoud(28) It started well, with a 49-run start to counter South Africa's strong attacking pace. However, Pakistan's progress was derailed as they lost three wickets for just 25 runs amid worsening light conditions. Kagiso Rabada provided the breakthrough, beating Ayoub to his stump with a searing pass.
Marco Jansen South Africa's control was further strengthened by removing Masood and top scorer of the first innings Kamran Ghulam (8) Rapid succession. Jansen took advantage of the gloomy conditions brilliantly, finding the outside edges of both batsmen and delivering pinpoint delivery to slip and gully respectively. Pakistan’s hopes now rest on Babar Azam (16 not out) and Saudi Arabia Shakir (8 not out), who showed some resistance before poor light brought an early end to the day's play. The visitors faced a tough task to equalize as the South African bowlers kept up the pressure.

South Africa recovers after collapse of order in China
Earlier, South Africa were in a strong position after overcoming a disturbing first-innings collapse. When the team's record was 178/4, from Naseem Shah triggered a dramatic decline, reducing them to 213/8. Naseem's marathon 10-over spell claimed three crucial wickets, including a precious scalp in the opener Aiden Markramhe received the highest score with a fluent 89 points. Khurram Shahzad to the goalkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. His dismissal leaves South Africa's midfield order vulnerable, captain Tamba Bavuma (31) and david bedingham (30) also failed to change their start.
Bavuma and Markram had earlier stabilized the innings with a 70-run fourth-wicket stand. However, Bavuma was sent off and from Aamer Jamalopened the floodgates for Pakistan's bowlers. Bedingham fought back briefly, smashing five boundaries in his 33-ball knock, but Naseem's extra bounce proved too much to handle as Bedingham delivered first slip before lunch with a sharp delivery. South Africa's collapse seemed to cede momentum to Pakistan until Bose's late heroics turned the tide in dramatic fashion.
Bose's counter-attack, coupled with Patterson's elastic batting, not only extended the lead but also demoralized Pakistan's bowling attack. Patterson showed off his batting ability, hitting a straight six on the return ball Mohammed Abbas (1/79), returning after three years. Although Bose failed to score a memorable maiden century, his contribution ensured that South Africa entered Pakistan's second innings with solid momentum.
