Troy, Alabama— Sitting on the field behind home plate during a Trojans intrasquad game, protected by a screen, it was hard not to notice how inviting that 30-foot-tall right field monster was, just 310 feet from home plate. The Monsters got a new 21-foot-by-71-foot video board before last season that can make opposing pitchers feel claustrophobic, especially when facing one of Troy's left-handed sluggers.
With that wall in mind, it's no wonder the Trojans' roster is filled with left-handed bats who can exploit the wall, and left-handed pitchers who can offset other teams' left-handers[…]
