When I went to Washtenaw Golf Club this cold morning, when I was out, my lot of preparation was to make sure all my batteries were charged.
My MGI tram cart and remote control have huge lithium batteries. If I forget to give the battery power, the battery will last for two rounds, but I would rather not test the outer edge of its capacity. I don’t know how many rounds the remote will last because I always charge the cart battery at the same time.
On this cold morning, I have two lithium battery manuals (blue tube on the left). Unfortunately, I forgot to charge one of them, so I transferred the other from the bag to the bag.
My Garmin GPS golf watch will last for a week or more. I never really worry. I’ve been getting it almost the whole time and checking its battery every night. I have a charger on my bed frame.
All my cameras run on lithium batteries. On this day, I brought Sony. It’s much smaller than my Canon 80D.
My phone certainly runs like my earbuds. I like to listen to things while playing games, but I don’t absorb it so much that I can’t believe that others want to hear me too.
As I wrote this, I thought of several other battery-powered stuff I might have dragged, including a laser range finder, a portable boot monitor and a battery to back up the battery.
I think most of it is unnecessary. I have a very good cart. Battery heaters are cool, but I also have Zippo manual heaters that run on lighter catalytic liquids. At Washtenaw, I really don’t need a GPS watch. I’ve played it many times and I know what my yardage is. I can definitely be silent and give up on the phone and earbuds.
But I still want the camera. I never know when to set up a perfect photo for myself.
