Head coach Jon Lewis insists England will be ready for the start of the Women's Ashes this weekend despite their only warm-up match being abandoned.
After a few rain delays, the match against the Australian Governor's XI was reduced to 35 overs per team before the home team's match went from 28.2 overs to eight overs to end with 183.
England were targeting 188 runs in 28 overs but play did not resume at North Sydney Oval.
“We would obviously like to play more cricket but it is what it is, we can't control the weather,” Lewis told cricket.com.au.
“The players are ready, we've played a lot of cricket over the last four or five months… they've been playing since the World Cup all the way to South Africa and we've had a short break so they come Here, I feel like I have already started.

Louis was also dismissive of the problems experienced by fast bowler Lauren Filer, who slipped repeatedly in the oily conditions and conceded 33 runs in 2.5 overs.
“It's very similar to what Mark Wood does, and a little greasy,” Lewis added.
“It's not ideal for her, but we hope the wicket will be a little less bushy and a little drier on Sunday.
“I don't think it affected her confidence but her execution. She was very confident in the position she was in. She was pitching the ball there at about the same speed she normally pitches because it's pretty hard to stand up. .
Sophie Ecclestone was picked by the England bowlers, taking two openers in five overs and finishing with figures of 3 for 27.
Kate Cross, who continues her recovery from back spasms that ended her tour of South Africa, did not feature in the match, but Lewis said: “She bowled at the Cricket Center today and it went well.
“We're just waiting to see how she performs on Saturday before we make a decision.”
The first one-day international will be played in Sydney on Sunday.
