In January 2015, D1Baseball.com relaunched as a full-service college baseball website after a decade of serving as a high-traffic resource for scoreboards, schedules and standings. We assembled a fantasy team of the nation's top college baseball writers, some of whom are still producing great content a decade later: Kendall Rogers, Aaron Fite, Mark Etheridge, Eric Sorenson and Shotgun Spratling. Other talented writers will join our team in the coming years, including Walter Villa, Mike Rooney, Joe Healy and Patrick Ebert, who all Join five of our re-released retainers as they share memories of the first decade of D1Baseball editorial content.
We asked our team to answer some questions about the past decade, starting with their favorite moments we asked on Monday. On Tuesday, we profiled our franchise's favorite players from the past 10 years. On Wednesday, our staff voted for the best teams, players, pitchers, coaches and programs of the past decade.
We end today with a good old fashioned link dump. We asked our staff to share their favorite pieces they've written over the past 10 years.

The first story that comes to mind is my article about the 2016 Coastal Carolina National Championships. Visited Conway all season and then covered Coast's super regional win at LSU. This is a charismatic group of players who are an absolute joy to cover. Not surprisingly, some of them have gone on to build strong careers as up-and-coming college coaches (Anthony Marks, Mike Morrison and Seth Lancaster).

UCLA's David Berg is another one of the most covered players of all time, and I loved writing this in-depth look at his journey to becoming a UCLA legend Full story:

Florida State's Mike Martin is one of my favorites and I've written several columns about him that I'm proud of, including this one after his career ended at the 2019 CWS column. But I think my favorite is this article I wrote after watching Martin break Augie Garrido's all-time wins record at Clemson in 2018. When a Division I coach wins 2,000 games, we republish this article:

One of my favorite parts of my role at D1 Baseball is being able to tell unique, untold stories, including features on Midwestern and mid-major programs, as well as the time I spend covering summer college leagues. For various reasons, the following three features are my favorite to pursue:

Maryland wins first Big Ten title (2022)
Notre Dame off to strong start to 2022 season (2022)
Walter Vera
For me, this will be my Parker Bird story and the follow-up stories I wrote last season. There may be many others, but this is the one that always sticks in my mind.
