PING launches the G440 series globally by delivering faster speeds and greater range through engineering advancements, including the lowest ever center of gravity. Golf News takes a first look at their new driver

The newly customized and customized G440 series includes three driver models (MAX, LST, SFT).
For golfers with slower swing speeds, all clubs except the LST driver can be customized with a lighter head weight, ultra-light PING Alta Quick shaft and lighter grip. As part of the G440 High Launch (HL) option.

PING Lowest CG among drivers
In the new driver, the engineering team achieved the lowest center of gravity of any PING driver to date, increasing ball speed through multiple weight-saving advancements, including the introduction of Carbonfly Wrap crown technology on all three drivers. The combination of a shallower face, lightweight carbon crown and an internal technology called a free hosel design helps significantly reduce weight and move the center of gravity closer to the line of force, resulting in faster ball speeds, optimal spin and more High launch.

They've done an excellent job reducing weight through advanced technologies like Free Hosel, which allows us to achieve the lowest center of gravity position in our history while optimizing the face structure to produce more consistent ball speed results across the entire face.
Golfers can expect to hit straighter balls with the G440 driver, and with higher launch distance, they can also hit less loft and enjoy faster ball speeds.
Overall lighter, longer shaft
A well-designed, lighter system delivers faster swing speed and distance gains as mass from the head and shaft is eliminated, reducing overall weight by 10 grams compared to the previous generation.
In the process, the standard shaft length has been increased by 1/4 inch to 46 inches for the PING ALTA CB Blue and to 45.5 inches for the PING Tour 2.0 and stock aftermarket options, a combination that delivers even more speed. It also ensures fault tolerance and improves dispersion.

Three models optimized to fit every golfer
The G440 MAX (460cc) is the most forgiving model and will suit most golfers. It features a 29-gram three-position adjustable rear weight for enhanced shot control.
The G440 LST (Low Spin) is a 450cc design with 29 grams of back weight while appealing to players with faster swing speeds, providing lower spin and more control.
Golfers who require draw-correction technology are best suited to the 460cc G440 SFT (Straight Flight), which is designed with two positions (fade and draw+) and an adjustable 23-gram rear weight.
All three models feature an 8-position trajectory-adjustable 2.0 hosel (+-1.5° loft adjustment, loft adjustment from standard to 3°).

SFT's new 9° loft allows for faster swing speeds
SFT (Straight Fly Technology) models position the center of gravity to provide a right-to-left shot curve, currently offering 9° of loft to meet the growing needs of new golfers.
