Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund admitted he was disappointed with Erik Ten’s sack, but admitted he was excited about Ruben Amorim’s future.
The Red Devils split up with ten partners in October 2024 after a poor start to the season, appointing Amorim as his replacement.
Ten witches were in charge of Old Trafford for two and a half years, winning the Calaba Cup and the FA Cup during his tenure.
But despite the huge investment in the team, he still couldn’t form a team that was capable of seriously competing for the Premier League title.
United now hopes Amorim guides the club back to the top. The Portuguese coach faces early difficulties and works to improve results while navigating ongoing injury crisis.
Currently, the team ranks 13th in the league. Hojlund, who was brought to the club according to the management of ten witches, admitted that he was disappointed with the Dutch’s departure but still eager to work under Amorim.

Hojlund said of TipsBladet: “I focused on Ruben’s mission because the project was exciting, but Erik was of course one of the reasons I moved to Manchester United.
“He did a great job and was a talented coach, but that didn’t solve it, and that’s it. I’m still happy to be at Manchester United.
“This is the club I’ve always dreamed of playing for. I’m really happy that Ruben. He’s a cool character and a cool guy.”
Hojlund recently broke 21 goals for Manchester United. His goal in a 3-0 victory over Leicester marks his first goal since his Dec. 7 against Nottingham Forest.
The Danish striker is currently performing international duties in Denmark, with their National League quarter-finals against Portugal.
After the break, United will play a away game at Nottingham Forest City Market as they hope to end the season under the new manager.
