Harry Kane said he wanted to win the Ballon d’Or and believed he could win the trophy with Bayern Munich after he could.
The England captain’s goal for Bayern this season brought them to the brink of the Bundesliga title, and they are also in the Champions League quarterfinals.
“In clubs like Bayern Munich alone, I have helped me push more in terms of confidence and responsibility,” he said.
“I feel like I’m definitely going to get better, I’ve improved, maybe my ‘Aura’ as a player is more respected than in the past because you play big nights in big games.
“I also feel like I scored over 40 goals last season, but obviously, I will never win the Ballon d’OR because we didn’t win the team trophy.

“These opportunities are there. That’s probably what I meant to be more respected globally at a larger stage.
“For something like this, you have to win enough team trophy to win over 40 goals here, but that’s the possibility of this season.
“This is definitely what I want to achieve.”
The 31-year-old is England’s record-breaker with a 69-year-old, with no signs as Thomas Tuchel’s glory mission at the 2026 World Cup began with the opening qualifiers against Albania on Friday night.
Kane said people would still praise him if he was younger, but they were “bored” by his goals.
“Like Ronaldo and Messi throw these crazy numbers there, they scored 40 goals instead of 50 goals next season, like their bad season rate,” he said.
“People take it for granted, maybe with England a little bit. I scored 69 goals and when you’re against Albania or Latvia or these teams, people just expect that, so it’s not that much.
“Say if I was 25 now and were doing what I was doing, the excitement around me might be different than it is now.
“Again, it’s part of where we are in football and when they get into their 30s I’ve seen it with some other players.
“Maybe people are a little bored with your work, but I certainly don’t feel bored. I’m excited about these games and future games.”
