Ranking

Kevan is primarily an organizer, although he demonstrated his goal-scoring ability in the 2024 World Junior Challenge. He has an excellent vision, high hockey IQ and excellent passing skills, and is known for his precise timing. He is known for his ability to find teammates in open spaces, he passes traffic, manipulates on and under the sticks and through tight triangles.

His strong anticipation, awareness and clever positioning enable him to take advantage of open positions in the offensive zone. Kevan can see the driveway that few others can see. He aggressively attacked the slot for a second frequency opportunity, had a soft hand at close range, and underrated shots could be used more frequently.

NHL Potential

Kevan’s offensive up-level and ability to work effectively work on the half-wall, and despite his lack of size, Kevan’s skills can still be a solid mid-six player. While his skills are comparable to Tyler Bertuzzi, his skills have greater offensive potential, but this is ideal. He is willing to do dirty work and chase hockey due to his excellent shots, but he can be dangerous when giving space.
