Real Madrid issued a statement confirming their participation in this weekend’s Cup final in Barcelona, ending speculation that they may boycott the match.
After a dramatic influence with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the club has been involved in controversy over the past 24 hours involving officials in the Sevilla final.
Tensions broke out when Real Madrid formally opposed the choice of Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea as referee and Pablo González Fuertes as VAR official.
Their concerns are centered on Gonzalez Fuertes’ criticism of Real Madrid’s referee-centric content that often reviews hosting decisions in detail ahead of high-profile fixtures.
Meanwhile, Bangas X was tearfully poured in at a recent press conference due to pressure exerted by Los Blancos.
As tensions escalate, the club canceled their planned training courses and press conferences. They also requested last minute changes on the presidency appointment.

Relevant people reported that the club even considered withdrawing from the final entirely unless their concerns were resolved.
In another stage of the club protests, President Florentino Perez announced that he would not attend a pre-customed dinner with Barcelona officials.
The deadlock has raised concerns that Real Madrid may face disciplinary action by RFEF, including the possibility of being replaced by Real Sociedad in the final.
But those concerns were shown later when the club formally confirmed that they were in the finals and denied any claims they threatened to evacuate.
“In view of the rumors that have emerged in recent hours, Real Madrid CF conveys that our team has never considered refusing to compete in tomorrow’s finals,” the statement said.
“Our clubs have learned that the misfortune and inappropriate remarks in the referees appointed in this match (taken 24 hours before the final) cannot harm a sporting event of global importance, which will be observed by hundreds of millions of people and will also be respectful to all plans to travel to Sevilla and all those already in Andalusian Capital.
“Real Madrid learned that although the referee appointed to the final today showed hostility and hostility to our club again, the values of football must prevail.”
