Four clubs will extend their season to be the last team to win the first league in the second season of the 2024/25 league.

The two playoffs of the league this season will begin eight days after the final game of the regular season on May 11 and will last until May 26.

The season’s two-league playoff final will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025, providing winners with less than three months to prepare for a new EFL campaign, a campaign that begins on the second weekend in August.

How does the EFL playoffs work?
The EFL play-off is an annual game to determine the final promotion venue within each department of the EFL.
The playoffs were first launched in 1987, separating four teams, which were completed directly under the EFL department’s automatic promotion venue through a series of playoff games.
In the second league, the fourth-ranked team met the team in seventh place, while the fifth-ranked team was sixth in the two-legged semifinals.

Are free throws and extra time used in the playoff finals?
Extra time, if necessary, if the total score is level after the regular time on the second leg of the semifinal is finished, then the fine is used.
