“That must hurt” – Arteta reflects on Champions League exiting PSG

Mikel Arteta said that if one day wins the game, he eliminates the Champions League semi-finals from PSG and “must hurt” his players.

The Gunners lost 2-1 to the Prince – Champion – Champion – Champion – French champions face to face in Inter Milan, Munich in the final.

Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi put control over the Paris tie by PSG, but only after visitors started, Guardian Gianluigi Donnarumma began a series of impressive savings early on.

Vitinha withdrew a fine for Arteta’s man with the remaining 15 minutes in Bukayo Saka.

The England winger then wasted a glorious opportunity to further reduce the deficit, but it was Luis Enrique’s side who promoted to the biggest trophy in European club football matches.

Despite being kind in the defeat, Arteta believes his team is better in the draw.

“first, [I want to] Congratulations to PSG for entering the finals. I will evaluate when I get a little cold, but the feedback I get right from their bench is that we are much better than them. “The Arsenal boss said.

“When you watch two games in two games are the best players on the court? That’s their goalkeeper.

“He made a difference to them in the tie. I think we’re close. Much closer than the results showed. But unfortunately, we’re not here anymore.

“I’m very proud of the players. What we do today, the way we start, how to deal with the stress. After 20 minutes, that should be 3-0. [for us]. ”

Arsenal will now be in another trophy-free season – its fifth straight trophy season. Arteta believes his players need to learn from the pain of failure to end their silverware drought.

“I’m very upset. Yes, we’re very close. Yes, we’re much better than them in both games,” Arteta said.

“But we’re not there, it has to be hurt. If we want to win this game and go there, we have to be aware of it.

“Some of our things are in us. Understanding that we are not there is not the way I see it.”
