Carlo Ancelotti is “the greatest coach in history”

Carlo Ancelotti agreed to leave Real Madrid and Brazil to be called “the greatest coach in history” at the 2026 World Cup.

Ancelotti, 65, will take over on May 25 after the Real Madrid season and is expected to name his first team 24 hours later.

His first match was against Ecuador and Paraguay in June.

“Bringing Carlo Ancelotti to Brazil coach is not just a strategic sport. It is a statement we are determined to resume the top of the podium,” CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues said.

“He is the greatest coach in history and now, he will be with the greatest national team on the planet. We will co-written the new honorary chapter of Brazilian football.”

The CBF added that meeting with coordinator Rodrigo Caetano and front guard Juan, federal technical coordinator forward Juan, “Ancelotti starts the mission this week” so he can choose his team.

Brazil ranked fourth in South America and qualified for the World Cup.

Ancelotti entered international management after winning championships in Italy, England, Spain, France and Germany.

He led Milan to the Champions League trophy in 2003 and 2007, and added three championships with Real Madrid in 2014, 2022 and last year.
