Game review
Kyrou improved Blues by 1-0 in just 70 seconds in the first phase. The pass from Kyrou to Parayko took Hellebuyck out of position, and Parayko immediately handed it to Kyrou, who tilted the puck into the wide net with one hand.
Six minutes later, Joseph doubled the Blues’ lead from the top of the left circle after creating a turnover in the neutral zone.
Perfetti put the jet on the board at 11:41 in the second phase and made a power shot to the right of the goal.
In the last minute of that period, Nathan Walker created a mistake on his own blue line, breaking the other way, and spotted the faksa in the right circle, who held Hellebuyck’s glove in the right corner of the net and shot his wrist in the right circle.
After the last almost perfect shutdown of the hockey game, Namestnikov finally shot the jet with his wrist in the middle of the right circle.
With Hellebuyck on the bench, the Jets did it almost impossible and again tied the game to Perfetti’s stick at 1.6 seconds, who shot Kyle Connor on the right board.
After 36 minutes and 10 extra hockey, Captain Adam Lowry raised his head at Neal Pionk’s point shot and sent the Jets into the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Jets beat Blues 47-29 and scored 2-2 in the power game, while the Blues took a 0-1 advantage with one.
