Head coach Ryan Mougenel – He returned to the Bruins’ bench for family affairs after taking a break on April 9 – it’s nice to see his players in charge of the game and the series.
“They are a truly amazing group,” Mognell said. “I can’t say enough about our leadership. They decided to go to work and they paid off for it.”
Providence finished sixth in the regular season Springfield, but Mougenel was better than ignoring the Thunderbirds, especially in a short three-game match.
“It’s actually a showdown that we really don’t want,” he said. “Their coaches are very good. I think (Matthew) PecaOne of the best players in the league, he showed off all the series. Apparently, their goalkeepers… both ways are OK. ”
