
Springfield, Massachusetts. …The American Hockey League today announced Rochester Americans to move forward Noah Östlund Has been selected as Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Players of the Week During the period ending March 30, 2025.
Last week, Östlund scored three goals and six points in three games as Amerks won a seat in the Calder Cup playoffs.
Östlund found the net in every game in Rochester, scoring his goal-scoring wins to five games in a row. He scored his third sting goal of the season Friday in the Armeks’ 6-0 victory over visiting Bridgeport. He scored a goal and two assists on Saturday to help Rochester win 4-2 at Syracuse, and he lost to goals and assists on Sunday in 3-2 overtime.
Buffalo was the first round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft (No. 16 in total), with Östlund scoring a total of 18 goals and 17 assists in 43 games against the Amerks this season, with 35 points. The 21-year-old Stockholmian Sweden’s all-AHL rookie with Plus/Minus rating Plus-20 has ranked fourth in the league with 14 goals since the All-Star break.
