The Minnesota Timberwolves will soon see the comeback of their beloved historical legend, an interesting character.
According to Charley Walters of St. Paul Pioneer Press, Kevin Garnett will return to the team and join the Leadership Brass in Minnesota for a front office position.
The move will be implemented for Garnett once Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore formally control the majority ownership of the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves have also seen roller coaster activity recently due to their ownership in the team’s continued 2024-25 season.
Lore and Rodriguez fought legally with current team Governor Glen Taylor to take full control of the Minnesota franchise.
The duo reached an agreement in the installment plan in 2021 to purchase the Timberwolves, and Taylor was tagged for missing the payment deadline. Taylor eventually withdrew from the transfer of ownership, with the compelling legend and Rodriguez starting a court lawsuit.
Arbitration was conducted to resolve the issue between the parties. Just earlier this month, arbitrators favored Lore and Rodriguez’s sole ownership of the franchise.
Kevin Garnett and his long-term hatred with Glen Taylor
Garnett, a former Timberwolves superstar, took them away for 13 seasons between 1995 and 2007, especially the hatred of Taylor.
It all started when Hall of Famers left the Timberwolves for the Boston Celtics, with Taylor accusing Garnett of winning his value. When Garnett returned to Minnesota in 2015, he was promised to join the team’s management. His retirement did not happen a year later.
The 48-year-old also doesn’t like Taylor and how the organization handles his beloved mentor Flip Saunders, who died a decade ago from Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
In an interview with the 2020 Games, Garnett did not object to expressing disgust against Taylor and pointed out that he “don’t do business with snakes.”
With Lore and Rodriguez’s ownership acquisition, Garnett has the opportunity to eventually return to the Timberwolves and fix his relationship with the franchise, where his 21st Jersey can also eventually be raised in the Target Center R.
