Antoine Griezmann has agreed to a new one-year extension with Atletico Madrid and send his future to the club until June 2027.
Griezmann, 34, returned to the arena permanently in 2022 after taking a seasonal loan in Barcelona.
His first spell for the Madrid side was from 2014 to 2019, and then moved to Barcelona for 120 million euros.
Griezmann became the club’s all-time leading scorer with 197 goals during the arena and ranked eighth in the club’s all-time roster rankings, playing in 442 games.
His trophys with the Arena include the Spanish Super Cup, the Europa League and the Super Cup.
He also played a key role in the club’s 2016 Champions League final to beat Real Madrid.
The 2018 World Cup champion previously talked about his desire to end his career in the United States.

In August 2024, Olivier Giroud said he believed his former French teammates would eventually join his major leagues, especially at LAFC, and he believed his former French teammates were confident that he had speculated about an action in the United States.
Giroud said at the time: “He will come one day.
Griezmann canceled the international football match in September 2024 in France’s 2024 semi-final against Spain.
In his 137 games for Les Bleus, he scored 44 goals, including six in the 2016 European Cup, where he won the top scorer in the tournament.
Last season, Griezmann made 53 appearances in all competitions in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists.
