We were about 12 months ago from late winter in the Midwest to summer in Melbourne, which was a journey about 12 months ago. And if we spend a lot of time enjoying the attractions, sounds and sporting events, this trip will be totally enough: Kingston Heath (No. 22), Victoria (No. 96) and Royal Melbourne Western Course (No. 7).

1. Kingston Heath is Golf thinking about people

If Kingston Heath was Scots and not Australian it would look different, but I’m not sure it would make you feel different. With its sturdy turf, your balls move on the ground like July in Carnoustie. Like some link courses in the eastern coastal areas of Scotland, Kingston is sandpaper. For some, this puts the course in the upper limit. No Long-term view Or body of water staring. Kingston Heath welcomed the first T-shirt outside the club window. But slowly, you will definitely start to feel dangerous. The boundary of each hole begins to shrink inward. The brush feels thicker in the back nine. The preferred angle to get into the green looks like a way on the tee and feels a lot different from the fairway.

Why? Because that is flat. It allows the bunker to hide behind other bunkers, and the green corners are much larger (or smaller) than what appears. Kingston Heath’s shooting difficulty is no more difficult than you’ll find elsewhere on the beach, but the result of this deceptive route is that your brain has to switch exist at any time. 2. Victoria: My favorite short 4s home

The best opening and best holes (periods) of our trip were held at Victoria Golf Club and the courses that our entire group agreed to were better than the 96th-ranked tournament in the world. Victoria’s first hole may not have a more attractive hole, which is only 254 yards on the downhill, paralleling the property’s Magnolia driveway-style entrance.

Everyone can go to Victoria’s No. 1 Green, but do you want to? If your typical ball flight is a draw, it won’t. With the bad angle on the right, you also sneakily don’t want to fade in and out. The smartest game is the short distance and the left side of the green, but that requires the fairway bunker that is left with perfectly placed. Anything that leaks the right thing will make you the toughest way in the game: 40 yards of bunker shooting. If this is a handshake, it is one of your handshakes with your future father-in-law who wants to remind you of the boss in this family.

As far as short 4 shots are concerned, it’s one of the best, but it’s not even the best on property. The difference is Victoria’s 15th place, a gentle curved dog-leg that is about 315 yards from the rear T-shirt. A mess of bunkers lined up on the left side of the fairway and gradually thinned as you move towards the green. But this hole tells you a simple thing: any You want a tee, whether it’s China Railway, a long iron, a three-wood or a driver. You have long been trapped in low ditches. So, how short do you want to kick it on a tee? Our foursome took away four different clubs, achieving three very different pars and a triple taboo. Perfect result.

3. Royal Melbourne has it all
