Arsenal holds early talks to sign £50m forwards, likened to Neymar and Mbappe

Arsenal signed with Brazilian history’s top scorer Neymar and Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé, who had preliminary negotiations with a striker and turned with the player’s 2024/2025 outstanding figure.

Andrea Berta appointed Arsenal target striker

The arrival of new sporting director Andrea Berta, about 20 days ago, signed the official announcement (Fabrizio Romano), has sparked excitement from Arsenal’s next transfer window.

He stayed in Madrid for 12 years before leaving La Liga in January, and Berta played a key role in promoting some real talent transfer deals. Berta sold Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona for about £107 million, but eventually brought him back for £34 million, making a profit of £73 million.

After initially deciding to let him leave Atlético, he also re-signed the current Balon d’Or Rodri for £21.5 million, re-signing only £21.5 million from Villarreal, while Man City eventually laid off his £62.8 million offering clause and raised another handsome profit for Atlético.

Berta also oversees the arrival of club legends such as midfielder Marcos Llorente, winger Yannick Carrasco and goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who all became excellent backbones for Diego Simeone.

The 53-year-old has a good track record in recruiting and will now support Mikel Arteta in the summer. Some reports even show that Berta can spend £300 million on seven new signings, including the striker, so all eyes are on the next transfer window after the Italian arrives.

One of Berta’s key tasks is to bring a prolific ninth place, who can take the Arteta side to the next level, especially after a long injury to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Newcastle United star Alexander Isak remains Arsenal’s main target, but reports say Eddie Howe’s side could ask for £150 million to sell their star striker, and overall the Swedes will leave St James Park this summer.

Arsenal holds preliminary talks on signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitiké

According to training room and journalist Graeme Bailey, Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitiké is gaining more appeal as a realistic alternative to ISAK.

The Frenchman has been in good shape since switching PSG to the Bundesliga, scoring 19 goals in 38 outings in all matches and 8 assists, with the elite Premier League teams really getting attention.

According to TBR, Arsenal held “preliminary” talks on signing Ekitike and asked him to be informed of Eintracht’s situation. But the Gunners are by no means alone, they face fierce competition from Liverpool, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Although Extract’s request is about £70 million, the intermediary has obviously let the club know that the deal can actually be completed for about £50 million.

The 22-year-old is one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers, with former Milan and Dutch international star Wesley Sneijder comparing Ekitike with Neymar and Mbappé.

“I might say something crazy, but I’ll say anyway: I think he’s Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappé. I sincerely think so. ” Sneijder said.

“He has Neymar’s grace, and also the movement of Mbappé. Suddenly acceleration, which is something Mbappé also has. He is only 22 years old. This boy does have a lot of potential.”
