April Shower – Golf Blog Blog

If April showers bring flowers in May, there will be an absolute riot of color next month.

Last Wednesday night, rains from “Build the Ark” hit southeastern Michigan (actually almost the entire Michigan), lifting the usual Placid Paint Creek to flood levels. At Washtenaw Golf Club, the creek covers seven, eight and nine large holes.

The lower half of the first part is also underwater, but it is finally playable. Absolutely no problem, as the water is under the t-shirt box (I don’t unless you hit the worm burner).

Part of the paint stream in more than ten, twelve and thirteen was raised, but at a very fast speed.

The rest of the holes (whole on the Upper Plateau) are nice. The course drains well.

By Friday, the lake was gone forever and the Washtenaw GC was almost back to normal. There are wet patches on two of the holes, but otherwise you would never know where the pond is.

The river in front of the first T-shirt also disappeared.

However, all the rain makes the grass green quickly and the buds on the trees are budding.

It’s a beautiful month on “‘naw”.
