Arsenal’s lack of playing in the last third led them to surrender to the Premier League title, throwing at Liverpool with 10 points, and sporting director Andrea Berta seems determined to make sure they won’t repeat the situation next semester.
According to reliable media sources, Berta’s two top forward targets against Arsenal are sports CP star Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal began “concrete” talks for Sesko last week, with some reports in Portugal claiming Gyokeres received an offer from Arsenal. The North Londoner seemed to have laid the foundation for both deals before officially moving towards the best option, with both exes with very attractive certificates.
That being said, there are other options to consider, one of which is Botafogo forward Igor Jesus.
Last month, Arsenal reportedly got in touch with a deal between Jesus, who actually had a £84 million release clause.

But, according to journalist Graeme Bailey in the boot room work, Arsenal seems to miss the highly regarded Brazilian’s move.
Jesus is reportedly “will join” Nottingham Forest, and one of Nuno Espirito Santo completed a £30 million deal for the 24-year-old after talks at the opening ceremony. The forward also attracted interest from Brentford, Everton, Leeds United, Newcastle and West Ham, but Forest is now in pole position to secure his signature.
If Arsenal cannot reach a deal with Sesko or Gyokeres, it is a small setback for Berta, considering Jesus’ reputation.
Journalist Zach Lowy said at the end of 2024: “Igor Jesus had an incredible year. He opened fire in the UAE, returned home four years abroad, made his debut in Brazil, and started in their last four games, leading Botafogo to the best year in its entire history.
“He’s just the beginning.”
